Support & reporting
Everything here reaches a person. If someone is treating you badly on MyFitsy, reporting them takes about twenty seconds and a moderator reads it — this page explains exactly what happens after you tap the button.
Reporting someone
The fastest route is inside the app, because it arrives with the context already attached.
- 1
Open their profile
Coach or client, either app. The report action is in the header of the profile.
- 2
Pick a category
Harassment, inappropriate content, spam, impersonation, a safety concern, or something else.
- 3
Tell us what happened
A written reason is required. This is not bureaucracy — a bare flag with no context cannot be acted on fairly, and yours is the only account of it we have.
Reporting is not the same as blocking. A report goes to a moderator and may take time. Blocking is instant and entirely yours: open their profile and use Block, and they can no longer message you or connect with you. You will be offered it right after you file a report, and you can undo it any time in Settings.
No access to the app? Email support@myfitsy.com with REPORT in the subject line, from the address on your account.
What happens next
- A moderator reads it within 24 hours. Not a filter, not an auto-responder — a person
- The person you reported is not told who reported them. Your report is visible to you and to the moderator, and to nobody else
- Outcomes run from a warning to a permanent ban, through seven-day and thirty-day suspensions, depending on what happened and whether it has happened before
- A suspension actually stops the account. It is enforced in the database rather than by hiding buttons, so a suspended account cannot post, message or appear in coach search at all
- Every decision is recorded, so a pattern across several reports is visible even when no single one looks serious
What we act on
Harassment and abuse
Threats, intimidation, sexual harassment, hate, or persistent unwanted contact. Coaching involves talking about someone's body — that is exactly why the line matters here.
Inappropriate content
Sexual content, graphic material, or anything shared without the consent of the person in it. Profile pictures and portfolio photos are screened before they are published, and reports catch what screening misses.
Impersonation and false claims
Pretending to be another coach, or inventing qualifications. We do not verify anyone's certifications, so a false claim on a profile is worth reporting.
Unsafe coaching
Advice that could genuinely hurt someone — extreme restriction, pressure to train on a real injury, or anything presented as medical treatment.
The terms of use set out the rules in full.
What you can do yourself
- Block them. Instant, and it needs nobody's permission: they cannot message you or connect with you again, any coaching relationship ends, and sessions still to come are cancelled. They are never told, and your existing messages stay in your history. Undo it whenever you like in Settings → Blocked accounts
- End a coaching relationship from the other person's profile, at any time and without giving a reason. They stop seeing your activity, their programmes for you end, and your own history stays exactly where it is
- Keep your measurements to yourself. They are optional, and only a coach you are actively connected to can see them
- Leave an honest review. Only someone who actually trained with a coach can review them, and a coach cannot delete one
- Delete your account from Settings, with 30 days to change your mind — see how deletion works
If it is urgent
MyFitsy is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number first. If there is a threat to someone's life, tell us as well — put URGENT in the subject line and we will treat it that way — but please do not wait on us before calling for real help.
For struggles with food, body image or self-harm, a coach is not the right support and neither are we. Please speak to a doctor or a qualified professional in your country.
Everything else
Something is broken
The help centre covers what we are asked most — sign-in problems, an empty chart, a coach who does not appear in search.
